About Ourselves

Kunst ist gut e.V. was formed in October 2000 in Berlin based on the initiative of a group of artists and art enthusiasts from Germany, Holland, France, Italy and the USA. The group had met regularly throughout the years in the spirit of the Berlin Salons to exchange ideas on current artistic events, inviting artists to join in philosophical and conceptual discussions. Out of lively and productive debates the decision was made to found an art association.

The registered association wants to help to materialize selected projects of visual art that promise broad social relevance and deal with intercultural or philosophical questions.

Taking care of an art project would mean participating in the organization and all that is connected with it - once the idea is conclusive, the concept worked out well and the schedule concrete. The actual job to be done can be anything from representation, counselling in formal questions, establishing contacts, assisting with application forms and estimating of costs.

Kunst ist gut e.V. is meant to be a forum for the exchange and discussion of ideas concerning art.
